At an elevation of 10,152 feet, Leadville is the highest incorporated city in North America. Leadville is located 38 miles south on Highway 24, part of the Top of the Rockies Scenic and Historic Byway. Just 15 minutes from Leadville at the eastern gateway to Independence Pass, Twin Lakes is the largest glacial lake in Colorado.
