Visit the Frontier Historical Museum, dine at a local establishment for lunch, and take the short hike up to Lynwood Cemetery and pay your last respects to Glenwood’s favorite gunslinger, Doc Holliday.

Leisurely plan a bicycle route through the back streets of Glenwood Springs and finally into the downtown area. Compare the photos of what was…and what is today! Imagine a town with miners, gamblers, gunslingers, hotels, shops and saloons. The majestic Hotel Glenwood was a grand hotel at the corner of 8th and Grand Ave in 1884. The hotel burned down in December, 1945. The First Presbyterian Church was built in 1885 on Cooper Ave and is still being used today. In 1890 the Stone Bathhouse at the Hot Springs Pool was completed.
