BASIC HORSE CAMP-For kids 6-12 years of age. Perfect for the first timer, beginner, and intermediate riders. It's a day of grooming, leading, saddling, riding a little bareback, learning skills around obstacles, and then hitting the trail for long, fun rides. Instructors will select a horse perfect for your child's riding ability. They may trot, or even canter, if they're ready.
ADVANCED HORSE CAMP- For riders that really know their stuff! If your young riders might be scared to ride freely along the mountainside at a brisk pace, start them with Basic Horse Camp. A one-day evaluation by the instructors will determine if riders can be in Advanced Camp, where they will fine-tune their riding skills and be challenged in new ways to improve.
Pony Camp- for the younger crowd aged 3-6, is a miniature version of horse camp that uses small ponies. Camps are 1/2 day but we encourage you to combine this with another camp for a full day experience.
Critter Camp- is the place a little child can hold and pet a kitten for 3 solid hours (we've witnessed it). Some prefer to wander from animal to animal studying their unique characteristics. And others like to run wild in a playful and fun atmosphere.
Nature Camp- Kids can build on a fort in the woods! Every year campers start a new fort. It's a masterpiece of deadfall, twine, and rocks. What can your little one add? Sometimes campers track wildlife, play in the stream, or hike around for natural treasures. Fairy houses, anyone? Supervised outdoor play that everyone craves. Parent-led pony rides and a petting zoo for quick visits. Located one mile from Vail.
