PONY CAMP Kids 3-6 years old are ready for Pony Camp! Perfect for younger kids and those not sure if they are ready for a full day of full-size horses. The basic skills needed for horse camp are taught in pony camp. First the kids lead, groom, saddle, learn some ground skills and then ride, ride, ride. If the kids are feeling a little tuckered out, they can stop for a snack at any time, get a drink, visit the restroom, or take a break at the petting zoo. Campers will learn from kind, experienced instructors in a playful, safe atmosphere.
BASIC HORSE CAMP
For kids 6-14 years of age. Perfect for the first time beginner and intermediate riders. It's a fun day of grooming, leading, saddling, riding a little bareback, learning skills around obstacles and then hitting the trail for long, fun rides. We will select a horse perfect for your riding ability. You may trot or even canter, if you feel ready.
ADVANCED HORSE CAMP
For riders that really know their stuff. If you think you might be scared to ride freely along the mountainside at a brisk pace and would hold up a group of good riders, start with Basic Horse Camp. A one-day evaluation by the instructors will determine if riders can be in Advanced Camp, where they will fine-tune their riding skills and be challenged in new ways to improve.
For a quick visit to the stables, we also offer parent-led pony rides and a petting zoo for little ones. Located 1 mile from Vail. |
