New in 2011, Mad Scientists will allow children to explore topics to a depth rarely achieved with elementary-age children.The VRD has chosen different topics to help young scientists gain a better understanding of how the world works. Children will experiment, build, discuss, revise and learn. Topics include rockets, magic and illusion, building and breaking and more. The program is for ages seven to 12 and takes place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Golden Peak Children's Center. Costs are $35, plus materials.
