Take a Day and Go Back in Time in Historic Leadville
|
Horace Tabor told his wife, Baby Doe, to Hold on to the Matchless it will pay millions again. The Matchless was the first mine Tabor owned entirely by himself. In the late 1800s, it produced up to $2,000 per day in high quality silver ore. Baby Doe spent the remaining 36 years of her life holding steadfast that some day it could and would produce again. Take a surface tour of the hoist house and head frame, the blacksmith shop, and the small cabin where Baby Doe lived and died. See coupon. |
