Vail's only indoor ice aren, Dobson is open year-round with figure skating lessons and shows; adult and children's hockey camps and leagues; and public skating, concerts and events.

Dobson hosts a variety of youth skating opportunities for those ages four and older including a Learn-to-Skate program to its more advanced instruction for both figure skating and ice hockey.

Learn to Skate
Learn to Skate is perfect for children ages four and older who are interested in learning the bascis of either figure or ice hockey skating. Classes take place from 3:30-4:15 pm and 4:15 to 5pm Wednesdays.

Story Time Skating
Story Time Skating is a unique learning experience for toddler and preschool-aged children that includes skating at Dobson and story time at the Vail Library. Classes are held from 10--11am and 11am-noon on Wednesdays during the winter.

Private Instruction
Trained professionals are available for private instruction at the ice arena.

Public Skating
For the recreational skater, Dobson Ice Arena hosts open skating sessions for all ages and abilities. Public Skate times vary, check the website for details.
