All rides depart the stable at 8,000 feet on the side of the ski mountain in Beaver Creek Resort and gradually wind their way up to over 9,000 feet in elevation where the scenery is fantastic and the views unlimited. There is a scenic one-hour ride and a spectacular two-hour ride through the White River National Forest. Also, you can choose a three-hour picnic ride with gourmet lunch or a half-day ride to Beaver Lake with lunch and an opportunity to hike to a waterfall or fish. Horseback Riding Lessons: If you would like to hone up on your horseback riding skills, we offer lessons for beginner to intermediate riders. We strive to make every rider's experience fun and enjoyable while achieving their own personal horsemanship goals, whatever they may be. Available at Beaver Creek or Piney River Ranch. Horsemanship Program: A fun-filled experience for kids ages 7+, Beaver Creek Stables offers a unique three-day horsemanship program (camp) with each day including a riding lesson, a trail ride, education on grooming, tacking, safety and other information and instruction on horses. Camp occurs Monday through Wednesday, except holidays, from 9 am to 3 pm. Lunch is provided. Reservations are recommended. Please bring any additional desired water or snacks.
Pony Rides: Little cowboys and cowgirls can take a spin on the ponies at Beaver Creek Mountain stable between 10 am and 2 pm. Parents lead children under age 6 around the small corral and have plenty of chances for great photos for their aspiring wranglers! No reservation needed.
